recent work: Jhol - coke studio 15
No one ever died from a broken heart.
Jhol is a story about a deep love ripped to shreds, of whispers and hearsay, of jealousy and sabotage, but also missed opportunities, the grief of loss, and of being entirely helpless in the face of forces beyond your control.
I was going through all of these things when I was writing Jhol and that made it all the more personal, made it my story. But if you’ve had love ripped from your heart; if you’ve had to mend the pieces of what broke inside you, mostly this is your story.
No one ever died from a broken heart, but one is never the same after.
